Adams County commissioners are continuing to refine a two‑building Justice Center plan that would return Superior Court to the courthouse and move several offices into a new annex across Third Street. Department‑head meetings are underway as the county prepares for the design phase.
Adams County has adopted new parking rules aimed at clearing out long‑term and abandoned vehicles from county lots. The ordinance gives deputies the power to issue fines and, in some cases, tow cars on the spot if they block fire lanes, handicap spaces, or create safety hazards. Commissioners say the goal isn’t to be heavy‑handed—just to keep county property used for county business.
