DECATUR, Ind. — The Adams County Board of Commissioners has cleared the way for two hallmark summer events to utilize public grounds in the heart of the city.
The commissioners voted Wednesday to approve the use of the courthouse lawn and adjacent parking lots for the Decatur Sculpture Tour on June 13 and the Decatur Day Car Show on June 20.
The move grants event organizers access to the historic courthouse perimeter for exhibits and vehicle displays. While the events bring significant foot traffic to the downtown area, the board’s approval also signals upcoming temporary changes to local parking and traffic patterns.
Local motorists are encouraged to plan for limited parking availability in the blocks surrounding the courthouse during both Saturdays in mid-June.
