HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of U.S. 224 between I-69 and State Road 5 for culvert replacements.
Starting on or after June 8, INDOT crews will replace five culverts on the stretch of U.S. 224 between Huntington and Markle. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of the week. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change. During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of S.R. 5 and I-69, or seek an alternate route. INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones. |
