Wells Community Aquatic Park 2026: Hours, Prices & Attractions

BLUFFTON, IN — The city of Bluffton is welcoming the return of summer operations at the updated Wells Community Aquatic Park for its 2026 season. Located at 304 W. Spring Street, the highly localized attraction stands out as a flagship municipal amenity, managed under the city’s Parks and Recreation department.

The modern aquatic park offers a variety of specialized water features designed for multiple age groups and fitness levels. At the center of the facility is a heated, 8-lane, 25-meter competition-style swimming pool seamlessly integrated with a Lazy River. Thrill-seekers have access to a 1-meter diving board, an aqua rock climbing wall, a Ninja Warrior-style water course, a 20-foot speed slide, and a 20-foot serpentine waterslide.

For younger families, the park includes a water playground featuring a large tipping dump bucket, alongside a dedicated toddler swimming area built with a separation wall and integrated seating.

A notable feature of the facility is its strict operational policy: the Wells Community Aquatic Park is exclusively cash-only, and credit or debit cards are not accepted for admission or rentals. Regular daily operation hours are scheduled from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, weather permitting.

Following its initial opening over the Memorial Day holiday weekend (May 23–25), the park moves to a daily operational schedule running from May 30 through August 9. After August 9, the facility shifts to weekend-only hours (Saturdays and Sundays) through August 30 before concluding its seasonal run.

Standard daily admission costs for the 2026 season are structured as follows:

  • Adults (Ages 18 and up): $6.00
  • Youth (Ages 3 to 17): $5.00
  • Babies and Toddlers (Ages 2 and under): Free with a paid adult admission

The facility also offers a daily afternoon discount from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, reducing admission to $4.00 for all ages. Frequent visitors can purchase a 20-ticket bulk admission package for $100.00. All regular admissions are completely non-refundable.

In alignment with modern accessibility guidelines, the park features universal ADA accommodations. These include a zero-depth pool entry, a built-in pool ramp, an aquatic chair lift, and easy-access stairs. The grounds also host an inclusive, spacious family restroom equipped with an adult-sized changing table, as well as ADA-compliant picnic tables situated at the main pavilion and concession area.

The park incorporates local legacy contributions, notably featuring the Mann Family Pool House and the Wells County Foundation Pavilion.

Beyond standard open hours, the facility accommodates group reservations through multiple packages. Families and organizations can rent out private cabanas for $50.00 for a full day, or opt for an evening special rate of $30.00 between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Indoor community room rentals—which include a private kitchenette and 20 general admission passes—are available during normal pool hours, priced at $225.00 (plus tax) on weekdays and $250.00 (plus tax) from Friday through Sunday. Additionally, private facility rentals can be reserved exclusively for groups either before hours (9:30 AM to 11:30 AM) or after hours (6:30 PM to 8:30 PM).

Management retains full operational authority to close specific attractions or the entire facility at any time due to safety concerns, severe weather, or unexpected maintenance. Reservation inquiries and scheduling are handled directly by the Bluffton Parks Office at 260-824-6069 or via the pool staff at 260-824-1550.
