Decatur Considers Tougher Enforcement After Illegal Dumping Complaints
Decatur officials are reviewing enforcement measures after reports of out‑of‑town residents illegally dumping commercial wood waste and unflattened cardboard at the city’s compost and recycling sites. Councilman Scott Murray said the city is considering clearer signs, upgraded cameras and higher fines to deter violations.
